Ineffective Prayers of Husbands

Husbands, did you catch that—apathy in marriage? When
we do not properly care for our wives our prayers are hindered!
We are to be her head... we are to sacrificially love her... we are to
put her needs first.

“You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an
understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman;
and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your
prayers will not be hindered” (1 Peter 3:7).

What is a hindrance? It is defined as something that provides
resistance, delay, or obstruction to something or someone. A spiritual
hindrance is sin. It must be confessed in order to have effective prayer.
If you notice your prayers not being answered or effective, check your
relationship with your wife.

Husband, a hard heart toward your wife will cause you to live a very lonely life. Your prayers will be ineffective. God wants you to get your heart right with your wife first. Love her with tenderness and understanding. Put her on a pedestal as you did while dating. Speak these words to her, “I’m sorry, will you forgive me?” I guarantee they will deliver miracles and healing. Try it. I dare ya.
